Biography
Ryan Krone, PhD, is a mechanical engineer and currently the Director of Innovation and Commercialization at the Knight Cancer Institute’s center for Cancer Early Detection and Advanced Research (CEDAR). He has 15 years of R&D and product development experience. Prior to OHSU, he co-founded a medical device start-up, Madorra, following a fellowship in Stanford’s Biodesign program in 2013. He has also worked for and lead multiple other healthcare start-ups with focuses from heart failure (COR Innovations) to stroke (Imperative Care), as well as large organizations like Abbott Vascular and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Ryan has a PhD from UC Berkeley in theoretical mechanics.
