Biography
Aiming to support the growth of a robust life sciences industry in Oregon, Lisa Lukaesko has focused her professional efforts in the development of innovative technologies and new venture formation within the region. As the Alliance Manager of New Ventures for OHSU’s Technology Transfer and Business Development, Lisa develops strategic programming to support startup company formation and provides resources and guidance to help startup companies with company formation, early business development, funding and marketing strategies, and talent recruitment. In her previous role, Lisa was a member of the industry and collaborations team at OHSU, where she helped the university research community navigate all aspects of forming industry and academic collaborations and led the negotiation of several high-profile industry sponsored contracts.
As a molecular and cellular biologist, Lisa focused on bringing cutting-edge scientific discoveries into the marketplace. Lisa played an instrumental role in the development of an OX40 immunotherapy with MedImmune and, with Adgia, Inc., created the first reliable diagnostic test for bacterial ring rot disease.
Lisa earned her B.S. in Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at OHSU. She is also a bit of an entrepreneur herself, having established a marketing and branding company that sold to Cascade Provisions in 2016.
